The WePlay Esports media holding company and the 1xBet betting company announced a partnership for 2021, making them the first betting brand to support a new generation of esports titles. The deal will see 1xBet support all tournaments hosted by WePlay Esports throughout 2021. Starting with the first season of the WePlay Ultimate Fighting League (WUFL), the partnership will last throughout all WePlay Esports tournaments over 2021.
1xBet is an international gaming betting company with over 12 years of experience in the industry and has offices in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Previously, the company entered into agreements with a number of well-known organizations, including the Spanish La Liga, the Italian Serie A, and the FC Barcelona.
With this deal, 1xBet becomes the latest company to partner with the league, joining the likes of video streaming service DAZN and data platform GRID. WePlay Esports launched the WUFL in December 2020 in partnership with former world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Valentyn Shevchenko, Business Development Lead at WePlay Esports, commented: “In our partnership with 1xBet, we are not limited to integrations into the broadcast of our tournaments. It is close cooperation and work aimed at creating new products, both within the esports market and beyond. For us, the partnership with 1xBet is about moving the industry forward and generating new cases that will be useful to both the market and our audience.”
Alex Sommers, Director of Affiliate Marketing at 1xBet, also spoke: “Our format of collaboration with WePlay Esports should have a positive impact on the esports world. Together, we are driving new content trends around tournaments and taking the interactive aspect of watching them up a notch.”
This collaboration of industry leaders aims to attract a new audience, as well as to make watching esports tournaments more exciting for fans.
